Live in the studio, Modern Art Oxford / Performance Residency

An archaeological arena was constructed in the basement of Modern Art Oxford using sculptural elements from Anne Hardys recent exhibition at Kunstverein Freiburg and a plinth like structure of breeze blocks. This configuration of materials was wired with microphones to enable the mateirals and objects to ‘speak’ in combination with the gestures and actions of a group of performers. Using Hardy’s audio work ‘ An Abandonment was accountable for the accumulation of materials’ as a guide a group of performers developed a series of physical actions to create a live performance of this work.
